A Nebraska Whilwind (of spiritual activity)

Hey, everyone!

A whirlwind week in Columbus with several interesting lessons and much-needed spiritual nourishment.  I was reminded of that if if we truly follow Christ, we must acknowledge that we're not perfect, but through our works founded upon His grace, we can be.  It takes a lifetime, but that's what we have.  

I hope that we all remember that and put that into practice.  I'm truly grateful for this Gospel and that message that it gives to all of us.  Have a great week!

Keeping the Faith

Hey, everyone!

Another week in Columbus of diligence and hard work.  Our understanding of the Gospel is growing stronger and deeper and as it does, we're better at discerning who is able and willing to stick with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It's discouraging when appointments aren't kept and when desire wanes, but when we give our full effort, we feel at peace.  There are a handful of people whose desire is strong enough to be nourished by teaching but are unable to frequently meet with us due to numerous circumstances in their lives.  We pray for them regularly and hope that their hearts are aware and open to that truth.

Making Contacts

Hey, y'all!

A productive week in Columbus: we found three new investigators but had trouble making contact with the others whom we're teaching.  However, we had a great visit with one that we hadn't seen for a week and encouraged him to continue to read and pray about the Book of Mormon.  He's hesitant to make those steps toward Baptism and Confirmation, but the more he earnestly reads and prays, the sooner he'll come to achieve that crucial goal.  

Some of our investigators are giving us greater incentive to amp up our Bible study, namely how the Bible testifies of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.  Check out the Topical Guide section of, "Book of Mormon" for more.  One that currently sticks out to me is Psalm 85:11 - "Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven."

We're looking forward to making the necessary contact with those we're helping to bring to the fold.  We hope that y'all have a wonderful week.
